Wild Patch Project
As part of the work towards our sensory garden, the children in year 3 have been working with the Wild Patch Project. Students from the University of Plymouth have been working with the children as part of our learning in the natural environment project. Even though the weather was wet on the first afternoon they visited, the children were able to have a fun filled afternoon. The children learnt about the sense of taste and took part in smell activities, for example identifying herbs. They then went on to make bird feeders. It was really exciting but very messy! Some of the feeders were hung outside for the birds. The children will be keeping a careful watch to observe the birds that come to feed.
